We’re a church for all ages with a vision to share the hope of Jesus in the community of Tornagrain and the wider region along the A96. A new offshoot church from Smithton Church, we are also part of the Free Church of Scotland, with people drawn from a variety of backgrounds. We hope you feel at home among us whether you’re a Christian looking for a church, or just investigating the Christian faith.

WHAT WE BELIEVe

At Tornagrain Community Church we believe Jesus is the most important person in the world. We believe that Jesus isn’t just a good teacher and a good example, rather he is the Son of God who came to earth, lived a perfect life, and died on the Cross to save us from our sins – sins which have broken us and our world. We also believe that the Bible is God’s Word, which speaks to us and reveals to us Jesus Christ, and how we can enjoy living real, purposeful lives as we are invited to get to know God personally. We also believe this relationship with Jesus transforms us into a community of people devoted to Jesus, devoted to loving others, devoted to hospitality and devoted to prayer.

That means the most important thing we can do at Tornagrain Community Church is to preach the Bible faithfully and invite other people to look at it with us, sharing the hope of Jesus in the community.

10:00am Explore Group designed for older people, with a 10 minute message from the Bible and then discussion questions on the passage. 

What to expect on a Sunday morning:

Whether you’re a Christian looking for a church, or just someone thinking through the Christian faith we’d love to welcome you on Sundays. You can be served a tea or coffee as you arrive, and services last around an hour and 15 minutes.

You don’t have to wear anything special, and you won’t be asked to do anything strange!

We aim to do everything in a way that’s clear & easy to understand whether or not you have any experience of church.

Our chair set up is pram friendly, and our balcony has been renovated to be a comfortable and useful space for any parents with babies, with armchairs, a sofa, and carpeting, along with screens to help dampen any noise that you can pull across if you’re worried about the baby disturbing anyone (but we really don’t mind). There is also ample room to walk around with a baby, whether upstairs or in the entranceway, and you’ll still be able to hear everything and join in.

 

REGULAR SMALL GROUPS through the week

We also have regular courses and other Explore groups for people wanting to explore Jesus, whether or not they call themselves Christians, as well as regular Grow Groups for those that are Christians that regularly meet together for people every age and stage of life.
